BACP pilot bursary scheme

As part of our 2022 diversity action plan, CSASS has been supporting BACP initiatives to diversify the counselling workforce.  For some survivors, it is vital to work with a counsellor who shares their language, gender, sex, race or background – to feel safe and understood.  CSASS has advocated for these survivors needs, raised this important issue and provided case studies to support research.

We are delighted to see the BACP pilot bursary scheme launched, and warmly encourage potential counsellors from under-represented groups to apply.  Please share widely, and if you know anyone who might be suitable, please consider passing on the warm encouragement too.
