Statement: 21st October 2022

CSASS are disappointed to learn about the conduct of the recent MP for Chester, who has resigned today.  This follows an Independent Expert Panel recommendation that he be suspended from parliament.

CSASS support and stand in solidarity with all survivors of sexual violence.  We are keenly aware of the impact of this news on survivors in Chester, including constituents who have requested support from their MP, seeking justice after experiencing sexual violence themselves.

We encourage any survivors affected by this news to contact CSASS.  We will believe you.
