New CSASS Wellbeing Group

The new CSASS Wellbeing Group is an opportunity for survivors of sexual violence to access support in a safe and inclusive therapeutic space.

The aim of the group is to help adult survivors learn tools and techniques to improve ways of coping with the challenges of life, improve mental health, improve self-confidence and self-esteem, reduce low mood, and reduce feeling of stress.

The sessions will be facilitated by a qualified counsellor to help survivors process their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Each session will have a specific theme and there is no expectation for participants to share any information they are not comfortable with, although people often find it helpful to share experiences and to speak openly about challenges.

Participants will be able to join the group at any time.

Sessions will run initially on a monthly basis on a Saturday morning from 10 – 12 noon.

The first session is Saturday 19th June and will be via Zoom. Future sessions will be held on July 24th, August 21st, September 18th, October 23rd, and November 20th.

Survivors who are interested are asked to email suzanne@csass.org.uk  for further details.
