Barbara Carter

Barbara was until recently Vice Principal at an all-girls academy in Wirral. Her career as a teacher and school leader was predominantly in all girls’ settings.  Barbara is a champion of education for girls being a way to open doors and to remove barriers for them. Barbara’s safeguarding experience in schools means she is aware of the impact of sexual violence and the very real need for speedy, ongoing support for survivors.

Barbara believes in the work that CSASS carries out and the services it provides to survivors.  She uses her experience and skills to support this charity, which is doing a fantastic job in Chester and beyond.

Barbara lives in Parkgate, Wirral, just further down the Dee from Chester, is married and has two adult daughters.
