CSASS supporters put on their walking boots

On Sunday 15^th of September, a group of us from CSASS once again put on our walking boots and took part in the Chester Business Club Sponsored Walk.

The annual event provides a great opportunity for some walkers to raise funds for their chosen charities, while others come along to enjoy a family Sunday morning stroll through the Cheshire countryside (with dogs!).

We all started at the racecourse at 11am, in a large group and then made our way at our own pace along the six-mile planned route. The weather was good, and we were also motivated by several refreshments stops along the way, providing a chocolate bar, orange juice and a bacon roll with hot drink in the village of Eccleston, a welcome break when the tiredness crept in.

The last few miles of the walk became a lovely stroll following the River Dee and along the Meadows before finishing at the Riverside Innovation Centre with a lovely Gin and Tonic. Each walker received a certificate as a reminder of a lovely morning!
