Reclaim the Night!

Reclaim the Night 2018 was a huge success and we had a fantastic afternoon making banners at Storyhouse before Handbag of Harmonies sang for us as we marched across the city to send out the message that ‘Women Have the Right to Walk Alone at Night!’.

We were a sight to behold, wearing pink feather boas and decked out in fairy lights, carrying signs to take our message to the public.

By marching and chanting, we draw attention to the fact that many women do not feel safe out at night, and the public perceptions that women are to blame if they are raped still need to be challenged. Thank you to all who helped out at the event!
